Facility & Curriculum.

TCC is a warm, welcoming environment, with high ceilings, an open layout, and lots of natural sunlight.

Our large, fenced-in playground has two developmentally-appropriate play structures and plenty of open space for children to run and play, ride bikes and pick vegetables in our garden. Each of our classrooms has its own attached bathroom, with child-sized toilets.

We prepare & serve 3 nutritious meals daily, in our full-scale, licensed commercial kitchen.

TCC offers on-site parking for pick-up and drop-off, as well as use of the loading zone on 31st Street.

For safety, both our main building and the Enrichment Academy have surveillance and sprinkler systems, and our kitchen has its own additional ANSUL fire suppression system (all systems are continuously monitored, tested and inspected at least annually).

Our Curriculum.

We use The Creative Curriculum, a research-based, comprehensive curriculum, grounded in exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Using the curriculum and its complement of classroom resources, our teachers develop daily lessons that support the development of foundational academic knowledge, as well as confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills.

Our classes also incorporate CLI’s Blueprint for Early Learning, a supplemental literacy curriculum based on ten related themes children explore through reading and literacy activities that are connected to high-quality children’s books. TCC teachers receive coaching and professional development to sharpen their knowledge of early literacy skills and concepts, and to support the successful implementation of this rigorous literacy curriculum in their own classrooms.
