This fosters emerging independence, cooperation, socialization and decision-making skills. At this stage, children transition to one nap at a consistent daily time. They master using a sippy cup, and practice honing skills like using a utensil, putting on a coat, etc., as part of their developing \u2018self-help\u2019 skills.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><a><b><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">Toddlers<\/span><\/b><\/a><b> <\/b><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">(24 months \u2013 3 years old)<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Older toddlers have a more structured day. A brief morning circle time is introduced, a scheduled nap time is included, and eventually, use of the toilet is practiced and mastered. A variety of activities that help foster independence, socialization, cooperation, and decision-making skills are offered throughout the day.
