Young Toddlers <\/span><\/b><\/a>(12 \u2013 24 months old)\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>

With a staff ratio of one teacher for every five young toddlers, activities are both child-initiated and teacher- directed. This fosters emerging independence, cooperation, socialization and decision-making skills. At this stage, children transition to one nap at a consistent daily time. They master using a sippy cup, and practice honing skills like using a utensil, putting on a coat, etc., as part of their developing \u2018self-help\u2019 skills.<\/span><\/p>

Toddlers<\/span><\/b><\/a> <\/b>(24 months \u2013 3 years old)<\/span><\/p>

Older toddlers have a more structured day. A brief morning circle time is introduced, a scheduled nap time is included, and eventually, use of the toilet is practiced and mastered. A variety of activities that help foster independence, socialization, cooperation, and decision-making skills are offered throughout the day. If a child prefers not to participate in the planned activity, he or she may choose to play with other toys or books or spend time in independent play.<\/span>ing.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
